This
photo essay is a capture of time and space 15 months
after Hurricane Katrina and the breaking
of two NOLA levees in August of 2005. The photographer
traveled with his New Orleans family the
week of Thanksgiving through the Lower Ninth Ward, Midtown,
St. Bernard Parish, and Uptown
documenting the conditions of places of worship, homes,
and businesses.

one year post-Katrina)
In
many instances, these photographs may serve as the only
historical documentation of these areas
before demolition or reconstruction. We ask that our
readers please visit New Orleans and experience
firsthand the process of a city in long-term recovery.
